Go Mountaineers!
At Pope John Paul II Academy, our student-athletes are the Mountaineers — named for the rugged Colorado mountains that surround and inspire our community. We believe that sport is a powerful arena for formation in virtue: teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship are not just athletic values — they are the marks of a person of character. Our Mountaineers compete with joy, integrity, and a spirit that reflects our community rooted in truth.

Totus Tuus
Our Athletic Values
We strive to develop student-athletes who compete with integrity, respect their opponents, and give glory to God in all they do. Our coaches and staff model these values every day — holding our Mountaineers to a high standard of conduct both on and off the field, in the spirit of Totus Tuus.
